Pricing as of April, 2008

I believe in world class guitars for home town prices.

Currently any of my BASE models (Dreadnaught or DM ) are $3,950.

I also have added my new “Performance” hybrid acoustic/electric to my line of guitars. Base pricing for this guitar is currently $3800.

Currently my backlog of delivering commissioned guitars is approximately 6 to 8 months.

Base model guitars are with your choice of East Indian rosewood or sapele mahogany and include your choice of Sitka or Engelmann spruce for a top.

I have quite a selection of woods on hand from all over the world, including some that are rare and hard to find. I have a vast selection of tonewoods that are native to North America also that can produce an excellent guitar.

Upgrades such as inlays, types of wood used, cutaways, pickups, etc. will increase these fees for building a guitar. The sky is the limit when customizing your guitar!

An Ameritage custom built case with internal humidity control is included with each guitar as part of the BASE price.

All of my guitars come with a guarantee against defects of materials used and craftsmanship for as long as I am able to work as a luthier. Your guitar can easily last for several generations, so I am fastidious about every step of the building process to make SURE that it will stand up to the rigors of being played regularly for 100 years or longer.

A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to get your guitar placed in my schedule of builds and then one half of the remainder due when the build begins and the remainder due when the guitar is ready to ship. You may test your guitar for 2 days after delivery to make sure you are completely happy with it and if for any reason you are not satisfied you may return it for a refund, minus the original $500 non-refundable deposit. You will be refunded the money as soon as I am able to sell the guitar to someone else. Items that are highly personalized such as custom inlays or other unique features may inhibit the ability to resell the instrument.

Before any deposit is due, we will have talked several times on the phone or in person so that I can get an idea of your playing styles and the overall tone and features you desire in your guitar. Only after we have decided on all of the woods to be used and the appointments desired will a contract be drawn to spell out all of these features so that no misunderstands arise. Before work is started and all during the construction of your guitar, you will receive pictures and updates on its progress up until the guitar is shipped to you so that you can see every step of the process.

From time to time, I may have experimental guitars for sale. These are unadvertised and come with a limited warranty. Pricing for these experimental guitars is usually much less than custom built guitars. Experimental guitars generally have unique bracing patterns or contain woods not usually a part of my normal building process. Contact me for availability.

You will find my pricing for custom builds extremely reasonable!
